Why it matters
Security teams can compare attack telemetry against their own asset inventory. When exploitation is visible and an affected version is present in their environment, the report can help them decide which systems need attention first.
In practice, match each CVE to your software versions, configuration, and service reachability. An internet-facing service may need different attention from an installation available only on an internal network. Use vendor advisories to confirm affected versions and fixes, then record the service owner responsible for the change. If a patch cannot be applied yet, add temporary measures and a review date to the follow-up list. That lets telemetry inform the order of work while keeping each decision traceable to the actual state of your systems.
